Meet Alyson
Alyson has been a licensed North Carolina real estate broker since 2016, but her connection to the Triangle goes back much further. A longtime Mebane resident, she knows the area the way only a local can—from the neighborhoods and back roads to the coffee shops, local businesses, and the little details you won't find in a property description.
If you're buying or selling a home in Mebane, Alyson is especially in her element. She loves the community, knows its neighborhoods, and has watched the area grow and change over the years. Her expertise also extends throughout the Triangle, including Durham, Hillsborough, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and the surrounding communities.
Alyson has built her business largely through repeat clients and referrals, including clients who have trusted her with their second and even third home purchases. She's represented everyone from local law enforcement officers to research scientists working in RTP—and she's even sold a church that went on to become a 3,100-square-foot private residence. Because apparently residential real estate wasn't interesting enough already.
Her approach is simple: know the market, communicate clearly, anticipate problems early, and don't create drama where there doesn't need to be any.
"It's real estate and it's people," Alyson says. "There are going to be hiccups. My job is to have enough experience that very little catches me by surprise—and to make sure my clients don't have to carry the stress of solving every problem themselves."
That combination of strategy and calm problem-solving has helped Alyson become a successful listing and buyer's agent throughout the Raleigh-Durham market. She's been interviewed by industry organizations including HomeLight about her perspective on the real estate market and has spoken on panels for local Young Professionals Networks.
But ask Alyson what she's proudest of, and it isn't a particular sale or award. It's the clients who call her again years later—or send their friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers her way.
"For me, it's always about figuring out what my client is trying to accomplish and then knocking it out of the park for them."
Mebane Local. Dog Person. Realtor. In That Order Depending on the Day.
Outside of real estate, Alyson is deeply connected to the Mebane community and believes living somewhere should mean being part of it. She has supported local and regional organizations including Night to Shine and the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry and serves as a foster for Paws4ever, a local animal rescue organization.
A lifelong animal lover and devoted rescue-dog person, Alyson can frequently be found exploring Mebane with her dog Frank, spending time outdoors, cooking, working out, or trying to convince herself that whatever home project she's considering will be "just a small update."
If you want to know what it's actually like to live in Mebane, which neighborhoods might fit your lifestyle, where to grab coffee, or what's happening in the local real estate market, ask Alyson. She doesn't just sell homes here.
She lives here, too.
